It provides the sense of smell by way of an innovative, lightweight and fashionable wearable design. A patent was awarded in 2009. In 2016 the scent device was re-engineered and named RemniScent™, and works with today's VR technology as a personal scent release device for use in all types of virtual environment experiences. Dr. Morie believe scent should be included in more immersive experiences, to provide a more emotional connection to these realities.

With advanced degrees in both art and computer science, Dr. Morie has 25 years experience in developing innovative techniques for rich, emotionally evocative virtual reality (VR) environments. As part of this pioneering work, she invented a scent collar to bring the emotional power of smell to immersive experiences, and developed new types of functions for VR, such as connections to multiple sensor and feedback systems to make VR more effective. Dr. Morie spent 13 years as a Sr. Research Scientist at USC’s Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT), which she helped found. In the mid-1990s, Dr. Morie started comprehensive computer animation training programs at Walt Disney Feature Animation combining art and technology topics, which she later expanded to the special effects industries at studios such as Rhythm and Hues. She is the Founder and Chief Scientist of her VR company All These Worlds, LLC and serves on the Advisory Board of the Virtual World Society. She is also currently VP of Education at Upload LA.

Margaret Noble’s experimental artworks have been exhibited nationally and internationally. Her interdisciplinary work resides at the intersection of sound, sculpture, installation and performance. She holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of California, San Diego and an MFA in Sound Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Noble has created sound works for collaborative projects in video, dance and object theatre. Her artistic works have now evolved into sculpture and installation influenced by interests in memory, history, narrative, and identity.

Drift is a participatory installation which provides the user an experience of dissociative roaming between real and simulated stimuli through binaural sound, touch, motion, and audience. This project began as an investigation of sound through the personal narratives told by persons with visual impairment after a life of sight. It has now expanded into an exploration of perceptual experience as modulated by technology.
